In his video works Arvola utilises CRT TVs and VHS tapes as well as digital video techniques, programming and CGI which he processes using analogue video sources. Arvola’s video works have been exhibited at Outoja tiloja audiovisual festival, Kaivos-Festivaali, Mitäs Mitäs Mitäs festival and Minimalen festival in Trondheim.

Arvola’s sound installations have been exhibited at Helsinki Design Week, Bologna’s PHMuseum, Rifugio Digitale in Florence, National Museum of Finland, New York Fashion Week and more.

Arvola also co-operates a small Helsinki-based record label Paa jotaki and is the vice-chairperson of Saiho ry, an association that organises the annual festival Konto-klubi, which focuses on experimental and marginal music. He is part of the artistic collective Studio Bom.

“Arvola’s sound world fully reveals itself through a thick forest carpet of electronic layers, ghost sounds, humming, buzzing, scampering, and the wind in the trees. By fully committing to the noises in his head, Arvola is able to take us with him to somewhere hidden and unique.” – The Quietus
